Community Meeting Update
Updated: Jun 20, 2020
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO KEEP OUR POOL & FACILITIES
community complexes add 20% to our home values & ours is in jeopardy
down $65,000 in revenue due to reduced 2020
memberships and COVID-19 Clubhouse rental closure
family memberships down 119 memberships in 2020
$32,700 deficit in pool funds to maintain operations through December
Pool & WPCA fees are 50% to pay for pool, 50% to pay for other 9 months of the year (loan payments for capital improvements, insurance coverage, utilities, maintenance, repairs)
if refunds are provided to all, we will not have enough money to sustain facilities & stand to lose them
financial audit has resulted in need to file taxes from 2010 to current & working to reinstate non-profit status that was lost in 2013 due to un-filed taxes
COVID-19 restrictions apply and failure to comply results in financial and legal penalties
not trying to institute a mandatory HOA, was investigated 15 years ago and would require a 100% affirmative vote from all neighborhood residents
NEED: memberships and/or donations to bridge $32,700 gap NEED: additional $30,000 for retaining wall repair NEED: 73 more family pool memberships or 440 WPCA civic memberships NEED: volunteer assistance for fundraising, recruitment
